It is the first natural step in the direction of energy conservation. ECPL, company involved in delivering Total Energy Solutions, has been carrying out energy audits since 1996. ECPL has completed more than 300 audits in various areas and has team of fifteen auditors out of which six are Certified Energy Auditors by BEE, GoI. Some of the sectors where ECPL has done pioneering work are; Chemical and allied industries, pharmaceutical, ULBs and buildings. Steps involved in energy audit are:

PRE-AUDIT PHASE – POTENTIAL ASSESSMENT

1.) Collection of key historical data like fuel & power bills, production outputs

2.) Spot verification of key operating parameters and comparison with design

DELIVERABLES:
Broad outline of energy conservation projects segregated by low, medium and high investment requirement Consolidation of detailing required for effective implementation

AUDIT PHASE

1.) Field study by audit team comprising of experts with portable instruments

2.) Field measurements and trials with sophisticated portable instruments

3.) Thorough techno-economical analysis of identified opportunities

DELIVERABLES:
Individual equipment performance measurement Validation of energy conservation schemes with detailed measurements and vendor offers

POST AUDIT PHASE – IMPLEMENTAITON ASSISTANCE

1.) Exhaustive training of key persons on engineering calculations

2.) Mapping of implementation process and defining end deliverables of various agencies

3.) Estimation of resources like funds, human, time (shut down) etc.

DELIVERABLES:
Measurement and verification protocol with vendor guarantees Time bound activity chart including roles and responsibilities matrix and budget for each activity

ECPL provides seamless support to their clients from Concept to Commissioning of energy conservation projects. After the audit phase is over, ECPL takes up Design and Detailed Engineering of the projects extending upto Demonstration of energy savings.
